Well Actually... でも、ほんとは...

I've just read this article http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2011/Feb-17.html titled "Well, Actually".
Since me either on the way of computer science and engineering like the author, I sensed the danger of communicating with people. Since we code, with acute sense of logic and accuracy, we tend to be more sensitive to logic error, this may be good practice in coding, but when it comes to real life, like conversation with friends and girlfriend, this could be dangerous.
People joke, and that is one key to be nice to people, and accepting others when chatting is essential. Even though, I sometimes interrupt with that by saying "well, actually...", even that was joke or just relaxed mood talk. And when that happens, the central topic shifts to the one interrupt.
This could make it easier to distruct the relationship. Imagine your topic suddenly changed.
Of course this could occur without intention, but we sometimes do bad practice without noticing. And by just becoming aware of that, that bad habit can be changed.

Now I wanna ask myself that "Do I even try to make people laugh?" Let's become the one interrupted rather than one who interrupts.
